First Fall

It's early morning, after our first significant snowfall of the season. It looks to be about 3 inches of the sticky stuff hanging out in the back garden. It's a winter wonderland with everything covered with whiteness, even the garden hose and grill that still remain on the lawn and deck. It's official. The holiday season has begun. Snow is on the ground. My December 4th Advent Calendar door has two little mice huddled under the Christmas tree. The season has arrived!

  1. Oh my goodness, winter has arrived at your house for sure.

  2. Ha! I'm not the only one snowed in (now turning to ice argghhh). I wish I had something this nice to look out onto though.

  3. Snow does create a wonderland! I like those trees wearing fuzzy snowsuits. Nice that you have a garden hose and grill to remember warmer days (and all the work that goes with them!).

  4. All morning I have just snuggled up with a good book, a blanket, and a nice warm house! But then I looked out the window and saw the snow! But by now I look out the window and see that the snow has melted already!

  5. I thought the title "First Fall" meant you had taken your first tumble in the snow. Glad I was wrong.

  6. I'm imagining two little mice named Birdman and Elenka all snuggled up with their baby mouse in their sweet little nest, nibbling, listening to music, and making neat little accessories for the hearth. No snow in Brattleboro yet.
