I'd rather meet them head on than drive behind them. I stay far, far behind. A good driver stops very frequently to check the security of his load.Kathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10924547158802290714noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-806671613875975371.post-76508211231598727602013-02-13T16:35:13.708-05:002013-02-13T16:35:13.708-05:00Doesn't that rig thing on the back of the truc...Doesn't that rig thing on the back of the truck look like a guy in a cap, holding a log? I loved wood heat at various times & homes in my life, but most especially campfires.Sketchbook Wanderinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06850319000824866265noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-806671613875975371.post-88420724120475622272013-02-13T13:22:19.137-05:002013-02-13T13:22:19.137-05:00I envy your wood-stove!I envy your wood-stove!RedPathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06980471119229896414noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-806671613875975371.post-60278622239062869632013-02-13T13:20:25.520-05:002013-02-13T13:20:25.520-05:00Only good memories of those days remaining....

The horse drawn cart is what attracted us kids. It was an unusual site. I never knew his name but we all called him "the egg-man". He was quite a character. Before that he was too busy. Go figure. ;)

We cut and split out own wood now and it is from our own property. For the really big trees, we have professionals bring them down and cut into fireplace sections, then we split and stack it. It keeps us young.
