Rusted Yellow

This rusted, yellow bulldozer seems a bit out of sorts in this field of snow, but even in the heat of summer, I think this machine would have some trouble getting to work. The first job that I ever had was delivering morning papers down Allen Avenue. My little alarm clock would buzz off at around 5 AM, and I was off. If I was smart, I'd jump out of bed, dress head downstairs and out the door. Some mornings I wasn't. I'd shut those eyes for just... and it was over. I hated getting out of that routine and heading out an hour later. The whole morning looked different. More people out and about. Cars I had never seen. Customers at the door asking, "Where you been?" It doesn't happen often these days, but if I roll over and see the number 6, the day always rolls along with me trying hard just to play catch-up. That's not a feeling I like to experience... except on weekends.

  6. Rusting away in Maine today
    Without delay
    What else to say?

    Rusting away in Maine today
    If I could pray
    Here's what I'd say

    Take away the rust
    Turn it into dust
    Lest I make a fuss
    And move to Florida!

This is a new country song I just wrote. It's already copyrighted so don't you try to steal it. If you come up with a tune, we'll probably make a million bucks. OK?

  7. Hmmm. Well, my day usually starts at 6 or a little before. But I agree with you that if I get up at 6:30 or 7, my day is NOT as good as it could have been!

  8. Yeah. I usually get up around 6 without the need for an alarm. Often earlier. It is sick.

  12. Wow, you're an early riser. Before I messed up my knee, before I blew a disk, I used to get up with a 5 in the first clock position and get out to run before work. Now I feel a bit more like the old dozer.

  14. My alarm clock wakes me every morning at about 4 a.m.
He's called Jim, my faithful doggy companion. He gets me up, then goes back to sleep; but I love him lol
I think that bulldozer could tell some stories.

  15. My coder is trying to persuade me to move to .
net from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the
costs. But he's tryiong none the less. I've been using
Movable-type on a variety of websites for about a year and am concerned about switching to another platform.
I have heard very good things about blogengine.
net. Is there a way I can transfer all my wordpress content into it?
Any help would be really appreciated!

  17. The other day, while I was at work, my sister stole my iPad and tested to see if it can survive a 40 foot drop, just so she can be a
youtube sensation. My apple ipad is now destroyed and she has 83 views.
I know this is completely off topic but I had to share it with someone!
