Digitalis purpurea (Scrophulariaceae)

Foxglove-
One of the loveliest of flowers! Bell-like flowers on a long spiky stem... loves partial shade. But BEWARE-- where there is extreme beauty; evil lurks. This plant is extremely poisonous! Enjoy, but do not eat! Huh????

“Let us be grateful to people who make us happy, they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.” Marcel Proust

  1. What a beautiful, tranquil image - and the verse complements it so well.

  3. I imagine a crowd of lady foxes (as opposed to foxy ladies) stealing into your garden at night, trying on this splendid array of gloves. All the foxy foxes would be wearing some shade of that fabulous pink with hats to match.
