Cream on Cream

While we were out celebrating Mothers' Day (no hassling with the crowds on Monday night) and enjoying a delicious dinner of sushi at Yosaku, this tree just off Danforth Street caught my eye. The muted cream colors, the chimney, the roof line, the fast-moving clouds and branches just seemed to work together up there. It was a total team effort! It's spring in Maine, finally. After that long, winding winter, ya got to love it!

  1. Yeah, this time of year the flora is spectacular. On the ground, in this town, are millions and millions of tulips on tiny plots of land.

Sushi....yeah....who ever thought we would love raw fish. Bizarre when you stop and think about it.

  2. It is a nice contrast between the hard edges of the building and the free form of the flowering tree. I'm doing sushi more often, too. It is a long distance from the meat loaf, hot dogs, macaroni and chicken of my youth.

  3. Beautiful tree. I dare say Mother Nature was showing off a bit on Mother's Day.

  13. This feels so strange to us. We are way past this stage - full-blown summer now. It's nice to remember that, if we wanted to, we could follow these trees north for a long time.
