Knock, Knock. Who's there? Do you really want to know? I find this entrance to a home next to
Waynflete School on
Storer Street to be rather intimidating. How about you? I noticed a couple of things though as I photographed. There was not a 'Welcome' mat in sight, and interestingly, a UPS driver had left a package on the stoop next to the door. Did he cower on the step? Did he knock? Is this a sure sign of
a nonverbal cue given by this ornamental fixture? Lots of questions today.
I have seen worse. Lots worse. A ladies boob used for a knocker. Honest. On a front door too.
ReplyDeletehahahahahaha Amazing creativity!
ReplyDeleteWell, if I was the UPS guy, I probably knock off early!
ReplyDeleteYes, intimidating is the word. Maybe they just don't want to be bothered by the Jehovah Witnesses or Mormons...
Hey, Oveido is not far from us. And yes, it's rather warm. Beats cold, though. I'm playing golf tomorrow and it's supposed to be 93, I think. But we Floridians can take it!
Lovely knocker!
ReplyDeleteI think I might fancy the knocker.
ReplyDeletePerhaps it's the uneveness of the eyes that makes this lion look so intimidating. It's a handsome photo.
ReplyDeleteI think it's extraordinarily beautiful, not intimidating at all!
ReplyDeleteWhen I lived on Cape Cod every knocker was a pineapple or a lobster, this is a nice change of pace...grrrr!
ReplyDeleteSunny :)
