Nature's Jigsaw

I always like to visit the 'Tulsa Gentleman' blog on Sunday mornings to view his photo selection for his Sunday photo jigsaw puzzle. He usually picks challenging ones. Not being a puzzle guy myself-- they look that way to me. When I saw this shot on Peaks, I immediately thought of my Mom's cousin Beverly doing her puzzles and framing them on her wall in her Florida home. Growing up on Stevens and Coyle, I also remember Mom always had them going in the den through the cold Maine winters. Could you put these pieces together?

  1. Interesting that you should mention framing puzzles. Never heard of it before until just recently. On a road trip, we stopped in a restaurant in a small town that had an amazingly large collection of unusual puzzles hanging everywhere. Was told that they get the puzzles on the internet...not that I'd want any since I had enough of puzzles when I was a kid.

  3. We have a wonderful local stone mason named Dan Snow. I'd love to see what he could do with these.

  4. I'm not very good with puzzles but it would be fun to design something with these, as long as I don't have to lift them. haha!

  7. You're right, this would make a great jigsaw puzzle. I may borrow it on Sunday. When I was a kid I had several friends whose family would have a big one going most of the time. Whoever came by the house was expected to help fit a few pieces. It takes a little while to work a 1001 piece puzzle. Once completed they were glued together and hung on the wall like a trophy.
