Fall Flowers

My SUNflowers line the back row of the garden this fall. It's Saturday. It's going to be sunny. What to do... small jobs around the house call. Cut some wood, work in the cellar etc. But elsewhere: there's a cool Block Party at the Space Gallery in Portland this evening, Laudholm Nature Crafts Festival in Wells, or United Maine Craftsmen's Fall Festival of Arts and Crafts. Lots of interesting, entertaining stuff. Plenty of guilt to go around no matter what I choose. Enjoy your day!

  1. I just adore sunflowers. We don't have enough of them here. Here's to a fun filled Saturday -- whatever you decide to do.

  3. I am so GLAD that you posted this today; it makes my heart happy to see them on such an unhappy anniversary. I still get so emotional when I see photos of 9/11.

  4. Fantastic sunflowers! I haven't seen many of them around here this year? Maybe I should plant some in our garden next year!

  6. The wood will wait until next week, the craft shows will not. Go for it. A lot of life is deciding what you would prefer to feel guilty about.

Thanks for your comment on my weekend reflection of the Tulsa reflections. I posted that last night when I was asleep and didn't get the link posted in the right place. That means it won't draw as many comments as otherwise.

I guess most of us use comments to a post as some kind of measure of "goodness". Most things I post will draw between 5 and 10 comments, 20 something at the most. I look at a lot of blogs that I find interesting. Some of these typically draw 40 or 50 or more comments for what to me is a mediocre photo. You and I run about the same although I think most of your stuff is really interesting. I guess I am missing something. Maybe we just please ourselves which is maybe the way it should be.
