Delicate Ice

The high today will be in the 20s, so this thin film of ice will soon be frozen over solid. NEWSFLASH: it's 12 above right now as I type. Brrrrr!

  1. I love the beautiful patterns as the ice spreads... great shot. Stay bundled and warm!

  2. Terrific reflections of the trees. That thin layer of ice looks so fragile. You'll have to show us a photo of the same area in a few weeks. Stay warm -- toss some of that wood you chopped in the fireplace. 12 degrees in early December is way too cold.

  5. The pond that I live by, and it has a thin layer of ice, and my lovely little dog, thought it would be fun to go throw himself across the ice....for I believe he thought it was still water (He loves getting wet) and he through himself across! Thankfully an only 4 and a half pound dog...he didn't fall through!! No, Yo-Yo bad dog!!
