Icy Leaves

Today is Theme Day across the CDP community, and I don't care. I have more pressing issues. White stuff! The snow is trying hard to disappear. It better. The state still has football and soccer champions to crown. 5o degree temperatures the next few days will probably take care of it. I hope so. I still have leaves to rake off the front lawn, brush to burn up back (with a burn permit, of course), a little bit of wood to get in and a bunch of other odd jobs to get done before the snow flies... whoops! Sorry about that. Looking out my window at work yesterday, the snow covered fields looked January-like not barren pre-Thanksgiving. I'm not mentioning climate change; I'm just saying.
It's spooky!

  1. I understand your frustration, without a smidgen of envy. That "charming" white stuff really cannot compete with the wonderful colours in your photo.

  2. Keep your snow up there please, we don't need any in Oklahoma. Well maybe western OK needs a little for the winter wheat, but we don't need any in Tulsa, thanks very much.

  3. Obviously you have power and that's a good thing... weird, early snow there for your all... it is colder here than normal but the snow is staying in the Cascade mountains... love your shot.

  4. Sounds like you've got a lot of work to squeeze in! Your scene today is beautiful. Probably better than a fence anyway. :)

  5. Yikes -- way too early in the season for a scene like this. Very pretty, though.

  6. Y'all had a mess up there. A big mess. Your photo is lovely, though, and I hope all of it melts away, that people get back their electricity, and that it doesn't snow again for quite a long time.
