Sand Print

Sometimes you find a gift. I spent last Tuesday evening on Brandy Pond with my cousin Jane and her family summering from New Jersey. As the sun started creeping to bed, I took a walk along the water's edge to watch some of the her grandkids frolicking in the evening's fading light. The sunset brought some magical light to the water and the distant dock. It also lit some of the sand at my feet. I was looking at the classic sunset dancing on the placid pond and almost missed some subtle coloring at my feet. What do they say about preserving our wilderness? Leave only footprints?

  3. "Take only pictures, steal only time, leave only footprints." Your advice is good and I love the admonition to take only pictures...right up your alley or shall I say right up your beach!

  4. Rake your footprints! Interesting collection of color. Must have been the sun bouncing off sand crystals.

Re your comment on Ocala: I'm afraid I do not want anything else that is high maintenance. And if you have found yourself in a relationship with a woman who is high maintenance, well, it's your own fault. But, and this is important, some high maintenance women are worth their weight in gold. I have a feeling that is true in your case, which means you a very rich man!
