Is this another example of the randomness of life? Or is there something else going on here? Heading off to photograph a couple subjects and all of a sudden this strange building passed me by. Is this a house? Is this a storefront? A grange hall? How about a relic of a country church? Is it just a remodeling job gone bad? I'm a bit perplexed by this one. How about you?
It reminds me of one of the little one-room schoolhouses dotted around the town where we used to live--Candia, New Hampshire. But it's definitely met with some DIY along the way.
ReplyDeleteSeems too small for a house, more like a storefront. I doubt it can be any religious house or is it ? So, what is it anyway ?
ReplyDeleteThis picture is very artistic!I've enlarged it and it's fabulous! Those trees are magnificent and there is a SPECIAL reflection in the window, I'm not sure about the "subject"reflected there, maybe a "mailbox"?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!

Whatever it is, it looks abandoned. A modest little structure waiting for a facelift, perhaps.
ReplyDeleteLooks like someone has already tried to spiff it up . . .Now I'm very curious about what it was originally. . .
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what to make of it, but it is a great picture!
ReplyDeleteI would guess a country church or community hall, but I'm just guessing. More important is those fantastic trees around it. Very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLooks like an old school to me.
ReplyDeleteNow you have me curious too. My guess would be the same as you listed..an old store or school, maybe even a church. A grange?
ReplyDeleteStimulated my mind with the colors and the question.
Store front? Gas station of old? Stranger yet is the sidewalk. Is there something missing off to the left or right that might give a hint?
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a storefront that I have seen (a few times) here in the south. Love the color contrast.
ReplyDeleteDid you walk around it and check it out? The windows look pretty new. I'm intrigued by that wire hanging out of the top center. If I had to guess I'd say it was a residence with the door on the right but who knows.
ReplyDeleteMy wife and I were talking about summer plans at dinner tonight. Good chance will be passing through your way sometime in the second half of June.
Don't keep us in suspense. Investigate. (It's certainly in a beautiful setting.)
ReplyDeleteWV: Whittle. I'll just sit here whittling until you come back with a full report.
Look at those background colours! Awesome!
