Today, March 1, 2012, is Theme Day across the citydailyphotoblog(CDPB) community. Here's my take on today's theme.
I call it SHOCKING! A week ago, I turned the corner and headed to work as if it was any other morning, but suddenly it wasn't. I came face to face with this scene. I was shocked! I saw death outside my side window. The sunrise picture above is of the same tree taken about a year ago.
oh, woe.
ReplyDeleteWas it hit by lightening or snow-laden power lines. Either way, it is a sad destruction of a beautiful tree.
ReplyDeleteIt was 'hit' by a chainsaw!
ReplyDeletepoor thing...
ReplyDeleteOh, that is a sad sight indeed.
ReplyDeleteWas it in the way Birdman, just wondering why they chopped it down?
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, trees can topple over at the slightest provocation: high wind, ice, age.
ReplyDeleteSo very sad, but you have the perfect memory of it and a photo showing it at its majestic best!
ReplyDeleteBises,
Genie
A chainsaw! Looks like murder to me. Very sad.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sad sight! Shocking indeed!!
ReplyDeleteHow very sad. I am duly shocked.
ReplyDeleteIt makes for an electrifying sight, also. Re your comment about undertaker(s): the word, "undertaker" doesn't rhyme with stop! Sheesh! But you're right, it would be worse.
ReplyDeleteAshes to ashes . . . It looks like it was a healthy tree. Hmmmm. Wonder why someone decided it need to go . . .
ReplyDeletePoor tree. I love that first shot.
ReplyDeleteOh! Those trees seem so invincible until . . .they're not. Sad to see one go like that, but clever choice for the theme day, birdmanerino.
