Well, well, well.
Look what I found.
So I'm flying back UNITED, and after about an hour of reading The Last Train to Zona Verde I thought it was time for a break. I reached into the back of the seat in front and from the magazine holder I pulled out the company magazine "Hemispheres". Usually in the course of a flight, I'll pull it out and do a fast skim. Every once in awhile magazines offer me ideas to write about. A couple of years, I even got ideas for our middle school's yearbook theme from them. This time, however, I found quite a treat! Well, at least I thought I did. The Q&A was pretty lame. No real insight into her life.
Heck, last night Project Runway was more revealing.
"She's got legs and knows..."
Now, that is one great ZZ Top song!
God.
ReplyDeleteHeidi and you, it's an old love story ! To find her here is a good sign (A sign of what , I don't know, but a good one anyway !)
ReplyDeleteYou made me laugh!
ReplyDeleteI just watched an episode last night that I had put on the DVR.

ReplyDeleteHeidi who? :-)
ReplyDeleteGlad you are reading The Last Train To Zona Verde. I've mentioned Angola's kleptocracy on a few posts on my blog as my country still has strong links with the former colony, definitely not to my taste but money always speaks louder. Angolans currently are shareholders of Portuguese banks, telecomunication companies, media, you name it. And, of course, they are the best customers of Gucci, Prada or Hermés in Lisbon. Not to mention the most expensive houses they own here too. Meanwhile, in Angola, the people starve and blood diamonds keep making the wealthy wealthier... OK, I will stop now. :-)
ReplyDeleteLots of that is implied bigtme in the book. Theroux doesn't back down from the dirty underbelly either.
ReplyDeleteThree cheers for Project Runway! Tim Gunn is my absolute fav. Did Heidi mention TG in her article?
ReplyDeleteIt must have made your flight so much better!
ReplyDeleteoh you are funny!
ReplyDeleteWell, she might be easy on the eyes, but she's in an industry that likes to believe it is the literal centre of the universe.
ReplyDeleteI think she owes you a visit.
ReplyDeleteWhat are the chances hey Birdman! I can just imagine when you turned to that page :)
ReplyDeleteLove that first comment by Elenka!
