Where do you buy your socks?
When do you buy them?
I can't remember the last time I bought a pair. I probably have about 6 black dress pairs that, for the most part, are never worn anymore. Retirement, you know. Summers, my Sperrys and I go sockless. Winters, I have a couple of heavy work socks that I don most days, whether I'm out in the snow or comfy by the woodstove. Maybe I should invest in a pair of these. They say George Hamilton, the old movie star(?) wears a pair and then throws them away. Never wearing them twice. Now, that ain't me. Here, I'd tend to gravatate towards either the cats of the bacon. They seem to be my style, although that big ol' full moon might tweak my fancy. I have a pair of 'Einsteins' that a girl gave me back a few years ago. Some kids claim that I mirror a striking resemblance to the mathematician. I really think it's all in the hair myself. Well, ok the truth be known here, I have been called a 'know it all' at certain times in my existence too.
In the market for a pair of these?
You won't find them at a Macy's or a Nordstrom's.
Try Bull Moose Music on Middle Street.
A music store hawking footwear?
Surprise, surprise!
Are you Soxy?
I'm drawn to the giraffe socks. Or the ladder and moon. But really I never wear long socks like that. I prefer the ankle shorties for wearing with my runners. But that bacon really does look good.....
ReplyDeleteI love wild socks in the winter and have several crazy pairs. My favorite ones from last year look like a pair of red converse sneakers. I actually bought them in a book store in Phoenix during my Thanksgiving visit! You just never can tell where you might find a great pair of socks.

ReplyDeleteI would love them! I always wear colorful socks during the Summer.
ReplyDeleteI have dozens of pairs but, only wear them in the winter months. I have a few that I've bought while on vacations. But, I haven't bought any in ages. My guess is the oldest pair in my drawer might be over 20 years old. How's that for scary.
ReplyDeleteI buy mine at Sports Chalet, thanks for asking. (Go with the moon socks. Girls love a guy in moon socks.)

ReplyDeleteI'd probably go for the moon socks. Have to admit most of mine are black and they don't come out until winter.
ReplyDeleteBlue and grey only for me, with the occasional beige...
ReplyDelete:) Anything fun for me. Very soxy I am... :)
ReplyDeleteThe cat ones for me!
ReplyDeleteI wear dark ones, blacks or blues.
No. Just no. I don't like to attract attention with the way I dress. But I wear out sox easily. Most men's stretch socks are supposed to go from size 8 to 12. I'm a 13 - pressure points.
ReplyDeleteYou don't look much like Albert. His hair was way crazier and his face was rounder. And I bet he never wore a Red Sox hat.
Ha! But did I take off my hat for you though? Help! The humanity!
ReplyDeleteI like different colors and patterns of socks. I've got a whole lot of orphans at this point though
ReplyDeleteVan Gogh? Bacon? I don't have anything like those!
ReplyDeleteMakes me think I ought to buy a few new pairs. :-)
ReplyDeleteSocks, no; but white with sneakers is more my style. The variety in your photo might appeal to my granddaughter?
ReplyDeleteMy wife has a collection of interesting socks. I buy a bundle of socks all the same color, usually black, and wear them until they are worn out. I'd love to give the bacon socks to a friend as they would be just right.
ReplyDeleteFun post, thanks!
