Aging Faces

What do they say about growing old? The wrinkles are character lines? Are you buying it? Of course, if you have lots of money to spend, you can redesign your face the Cait Jenner way into something all new. She's spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on her face alone for her 'coming out' party. I did catch part of her reality show "I AM Cait" on a Sunday night recently, and after about about 2 minutes of looking at the restructuring of the old Bruce's face alone, I had to look away. Like taking a peek at a car crash along the highway, I slowed down to have a look but looked away fast. I don't want to see any bodies, destruction or blood. All I could think of as I gazed at her facial reconstruction was, "My God, it's a clown!" It's sad to see what some will do to try to break the hands of time of that ticking clock.
I'll stay with what brought me here.
I ain't touching a thing.
I'm already in a reality show, anyway.
Seen it?
It's called "Life".

  1. I'm with you. No tucking or filling for me.

  2. I agree! There's no way you can truly turn back the clock, and all your family and childhood friends know the truth anyway. I don't have enough money to bribe them all to keep the truth a secret.

  4. BM, No danger that you would even consider a Cait Jenner transformation. We love you just as you are!!
I couldn't resist! I drove into town today from the cottage to use wifi to check email, FB, and my photo blog. Guess I cannot exist without technology; a bit disappointed in myself.

  5. I'd probably be more sympathetic but for the fact that the Kardashians would have never made themselves famous if their mother hadn't married Bruce Jenner.

  6. I'll just continue to look in the mirror and go - "When did that happen?" ;-)))

  7. I'm more into fixing all the things that need fixing on the inside, rather than worry about what the outside looks like. And that Jenner person is definitely weird and utterly misguided. Just IMHO.

  8. I think nature knows what's right. People who've had work done always look "unnatural" somehow.

  10. Yes, it's called life, for real. About the Blazers, they open on October 28 at home, playing New Orleans. That is one week after Round Five Chemo, so who know how I'll be feeling. My season ticket holder lady has said that she'll try to get me seats in an ADA area which would mean I'd be less crowded on each side. My last chemo is November 11; San Antonio is here that night, and I suppose, unless something happens to him, LaMarcus will be on the court on the OTHER team. I doubt I'll feel like going that night either. Maybe I can make a game or two in between. By the time 2016 really gets going, I'll be undergoing radiation and am supposed to become extremely fatigued half way through the six weeks of that. We'll see how it all goes. I do now have a huge flat screen TV which means I can see everything pretty well, as long as I manage to stay awake, ha, ha.

  13. Are you suggesting I wasted all that money on facelifts?

  14. Very good description. Our faces are what they are. They reflect who we are. Trying to turn back the clock is all about insecurity.

  15. I've got plenty of sags to show for my times around the track. I've found that my face doesn't hang as badly when I smile. I'm no Pollyanna but I'm trying to make a habit of it and to make up for lost time.

  18. Renée Zelwegger changed her face & she wasn't even old! It was so unique and individual before. IMHO she ruined it.
