Window Shopping

This is the outside of Arabica, a stop on some of my Sunday journeys. This place has fine coffee and amazing front windows to watch the world go by. There's a lot of people watching that goes on here. Coffee shops. These days they are everywhere, literally on every street corner. Back before Dunkin' Donuts around here, the only place you got a cup of java in the morning was if you found a restaurant serving breakfast. Today, fall out of your car, and you've got coffee. There's money in the right coffee shop. Now, just don't get me talking about bottled water. Bottled water? For sale? Who would have thunk it?

  1. Such large windows on a street corner certainly provide the opportunity to watch the world go by. I suppose all the coffee shops are a reflection of our fast paced society. Gotta have that caffeine to stay on the move!

  2. A charming cafe; would be fun to sit in there, drink coffee and journal. So much better than the standard Starbuck's!

  3. There has certainly been a revolution in coffee. Used to be there was nothing. Now there are lots of places.

I'm not into bottled water either.

  5. I got a text message this morning offering me a free coffee. I hate coffee! Strangely enough though, I love the smell of it.

  7. When I was little, my sisters and I wanted to set up a lemonade stand but we didn't have any lemonade. So we filled a pitcher with ice water and sold that on the street. As I recall, we only sold one glass but, that guy thought we were pretty innovative.

  8. A very cute building. I think, given the choice, coffee shops prefer a corner location.

I'm happy to sit at the window with my coffee and watch the world go by.

  11. A lovely building on a rounded corner. The decorations remind me of a cake. I think it must be time for dessert.
