Yellow Hydrant

We're off to the beach! It's always fun to head to the water out of season. March is a marvelous time to venture there. The side streets are deserted, storefronts covered, cottages still boarded up, just a few bodies moving along the water's edge. Saturday, Elenka and I headed to Old Orchard Beach for a slice of Lisa's Pizza and a big box of french fries. We weren't disappointed. Hey, you've got to do something to survive the month of March around here.

  2. Colorful building and hydrant. Your trip sounds like a good time, and you two are obviously surviving quite well.

  4. You could always fly down to Florida for the month of March. Seems like everyone in New England is here already!

  12. Nice. The hydrant looks like plastic. Your Marches may be miserable but your summers are glorious. There's a chance I'll make it back to the Maine Media Workshops in July. Maine in mid-summer can't be beat.

  13. Agreed. Pizza and fries go a long way to beat the winter blues.
