Anytime's the right time to change course, right the ship and set sail on a new adventure. Sail away on the new waves of your destiny. Don't shy away; be bold. Your future awaits you on the next mighty wave. It's never too late to wait on a dream. Remember calm seas sometimes forecast trouble waters.
Dream BIG!
Anchors aweigh!
Ahoy Birdman! Your advice can take us out of the doldrums.
ReplyDeleteI applaud the idea of dreaming big. Just finished an interesting book called The Lunatic Express by Carl Hoffman about shipping out...you might like it?!
ReplyDeleteThanks for that, I needed it!
ReplyDeleteOh and marvellous window, with a fleur de lys, no less.
Wait, wait. . .'calm seas sometimes forecast trouble waters' ? Oh, nooo.
ReplyDeleteLove boat models!
ReplyDeleteGod bless you!

what a great shot, framed in brick.
ReplyDeleteSounds good Birdman.
ReplyDeletep. s. re: fog on my blog . . . I always think of the 'little cat feet' poem when I see fog . . .

ReplyDeletePerfect object lesson and a great photo to boot.
ReplyDeleteDarryl and Ruth :)
Great thoughts, talking to mind and heart..And the boat is here to carry our dreams. Beautiful post!
ReplyDeleteAhoy matey!
ReplyDeleteNice job on the spelling of aweigh (vs. away).
ReplyDeleteGee, I am feeling inadequate now. I am one of those consistent types who rarely changes directions in any important way. But, how about if I think about changing? Is that good enough?
ReplyDeleteNice post and photo.
ReplyDeleteLove the model and your words of encouragement! Sorry I been so quiet these last couple weeks, I’ve been really ill (now finally diagnosed with Whooping Cough even though I was immunized) and have had another very rough week.
ReplyDeleteWent to the Maritime Museum in Bath, Me. a number of years ago and really enjoyed studying the old boats and how they were made. When I first retired I wasn't allowed to do to much, heart issue, so I built 3 models of boats. I should take pictures of them and post them. I use to build RC airplanes but moved to a condo so I ran out of room to build or store.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I will. Nice shot too-

Birdman, who you talkin' to? Why do I have the niggling feeling you wrote this at least partly tongue in cheek? Anyway, it's the story of my life. And now I'm on them troubled waters and headed who knows where... LOL!! It may be a dream; it may be a nightmare. Time will tell. Nicely framed shot of the model sailboat with the fleur-de-lys of the window right on the sail...
ReplyDeleteBirdman, i wish i can be that bold !
ReplyDeleteTotally agree about dreaming 'big' Birdman, but there will be no boats on my horizon, I'm dreaming big on terra firma!!
