Making Music

Here's some sidewalk art. Ya, that cool cat in the middle caught the eyes of those strolling the cement walkways of Congress Street at last evening's First Friday Artwak, but they could strum too. He was playing a mean harmonica under that headgear. Didn't catch the name of this trio, but I am quite sure Mr. Robert Allen Zimmerman never got his start on the streets of Hibbing, Minnesota and the Village in a getup like this.
Say it ain't so, Bob!

  1. What a weird helmet. Maybe for today's Star Wars day, May the fourth?

  4. Makes you wonder where he got the harebrained idea to wear that thing and play the harmonica at the same time!

  5. The guy on the right looks a bit like the young Bob Dylan. It's so cold in Bemidji/Hibbing, that one has to find something to do - like write songs and play guitar.

  7. Not all young folks are walking around staring at their Iphones -- some are making music -- great. barbara

  8. I wonder if he invented that thing. I've never seen anything like it. It must have drawn a crowd.

  12. What a hoot, that helmet and harmonica combo. I never would have guessed there was one of those in there with that young man. The intensity of those other two easily visible performers is way cool. I'm sure all three are having the time of their lives.

  13. It does my heart good to see that a young lad has taken up the banjo. An iconic American instrument with African roots. The tradition continues.
