Trawler Rust

Some early morning gray sky sets the backdrop for this working, rusted trawler. Is there a harder, more dangerous job out there then winter fishing in the North Atlantic or perhaps on the Bering Sea? I've got to think long and hard about this one. Have you ever caught a few episodes of the Deadliest Catch? Scary as all hell! It puts Ax Men to shame in my eyes. Now, the the Housewives of NYC is scary but for an altogether different reason. Ah... Reality TV, ya gotta love it. By the way, don't plan to ring, text, email or in any way try to reach me on Sunday evening, March 25, between the hours of 9 and 11 PM EST. Why you say? Season 5 of MADMEN premieres. Without a doubt, the BEST!

  3. Me, too, like Kate, rusty on tv programs. . .other friends of mine won't answer the phone today --because of basketball mania. Something about brackets, mm?

  4. I have seen Deadliest Catch Birdman, very scary way to earn a dollar. Lol at your comment on HONYC, I watched it couple of times and thought 'surely they can't be for real' haha! hilarious stuff and I don't think it's supposed to be.

  5. Rust is beautiful on photos, but horrible on old trawlers. This one could be one of the old Russians that used tom pass by here.

Rather amazing this ol' tub is still floating. And no, I can't imagine that kind of fishing!

  8. Cannot imagine fishing for a living period! Much less in the Bering Sea.
