Walkway

Here's a walkway under the 295 overpass near the Libbytown section of the city. This one of the main exits from the city center, heading off towards Westbrook, the Maine Mall area and Gorham. Don't be deceived by the lack of activity, it's a very well traveled route, just not early on a weekend morning. There's usually quite a bit of foot traffic along this stretch too. I think you can make out a traveler off in the distance, maybe trekking back from a breakfast at Denny's. If Elenka's not looking, I'll take the Grand Slam breakfast, please!

  2. We don't have famous places like this to explore around Brookville where I live. Not even a Statue of Liberty.

Since I was hacked I had to give up my old user name and the blogs that went with it.

So this is the new birds blog and I hope you can come visit. Birds Birds Birds and Birds

  3. I know that you said it's a "well travelled route," but it looks a bit isolated and scary to me. Perhaps I'm overly cautious (although I don't really think so!).

  4. Shame on you! The Grand Slam is a heart attack on a plate! But I love it.

I thought you were wandering about in a dangerous area of town...with nobody around. Glad to know there were other people nearby.

  5. It does look a bit foreboding. But I guess after a Grand Slam, one could run through the tunnel for exercise.

  6. It's fun to explore these busy places when they aren't so busy.

  7. Like Kate and Regina, it feel desolate and lonely and a bit foreboding to me. But I'm sure your presence there jazzes it up, yep.

  8. Everything looks different early on a weekend morning, I can just imagine this same scene later in the day Birdman, when many more folk are on their way to Denny's for brekkie!

  14. You've taken a slice in time. This one looks grim, hard American urban.
