Booked

I came across that ESQUIRE list of 'must reads' for men, "75 Books  Every Man Should Read, the other day. I've got a head start on the collection. Books like: What We Talk About When We Talk About Love, Dog Soldiers, Things They Carried, The Invisible Man, For Whom the Bell Tolls, The Shining, Killer Angels, The Grapes of WrathConfederacy of Dunces, Heart of Darkness, Labyrinths, The Good War, The Brothers Karamazov and quite a few others are already in the 'read' column. Looking ahead, I've got Under the Volcano, As I Lay Dying, The Windup Bird Chronicle, This Boy's Life, Lucky Jim, Autobiography of Malcolm X, Midtnight's Children, Rabbit, Run, Times Arrow, A Sport, A Pastime, The Black Meridian on my 'to do list. Will the reads happen? Maybe... maybe not. I must say, even though a list-hater at heart, I was intrigued to take a glance or two.
