Birding

Outside our kitchen window you'll find this hangout. Seen a few birdies checking out this site over the past months, but don't think any have taken up occupancy. Up back in the garden, however, it's a whole different story. There are plenty of bluebirds making homes in my birdhouses. A couple of them, didn't take kindly to my trimming with the lawnmower around the fencing of the plot. By in large, they do look mighty happy though. It's not a house; it's a home.

  2. That's such a pretty birdhouse, I bet it will be occupied before too long Birdman. It always amazes me where birds will set up 'nest'. We get them regularly in a potted tree right next to the busy front door. They must feel safe I guess.

  6. I really envy you: we are actually infested by hundreds of huge gulls advancing inland, far from the sea, and killing any other smaller bird around...

  10. I love the birds. We have 3 feeders placed around the yard, and one of my favorite things to do is just stand contentedly and watch the activity :^)

  15. A very fine birdhouse, Birdman. We have several aged birdhouses down here, too. I don't know about you, but I can't remember a year when there were so many birds around and so many different kinds. We could start an avian symphony down here.

  16. How lucky you are to have bluebirds! I never could get any permanent residents in my boxes. Maybe I'll have better luck in Canada. :)
