Wind Chime
Let it chime. Got one up near the apple tree at the edge of the garden, another at the corner of the family room and this one hanging off the deck. When gentle breezes blow, it's a soothing sensation to be sitting with a cup of coffee and a book or laptop and hearing the chimes wafting through the nearby screened window. One of those other pleasing reminders of summer in Maine.

Been wanting to get one myself. They have one at the Japanese restaurant where we go to that has the most serene and calming chime you could imagine. The perfect de-stresser.

We've always had one or two, but I've never been lucky enough to hear them...they do not chime as sweetly as yours. I like the simplicity of your chimes.
ReplyDeleteThis is a universal delight, I think, and makes us all relax and slow down to the music of the wind. That is until a storm comes and then windchimes play notes of panic.

It's gorgeous when you first hear it or if you are in the mood for noise, but then when it's day after day and it's the neighbors and you have no control over it...not fond of that. I think if a person has no surrounding neighbors...great put them up, but it's not cool to assume the neighbors want to hear windchimes all the time.
