Lots of days I find Elenka adrift on the sea called Pinterest. I don't understand this site most days; however, somedays it works for me. I don't think I ever sampled a bagel until we traveled to Boston, mid 70's somewhere. Soon after, Mr. Bagel opened on Forest Avenue and the rest... well you know the rest. I like them, the doughier the better. Throw in some cinnamon and raisins, and I'm a happy man. Elenka found a bagel site on Pinterest. I've sampled them many times. I'll never complain about her trolling on the big P- again. This recipe is delicious!

There, I'm done today.
Gotta go stuff my face.
I don't quite "get" pinterest. I joined and I think I pinned one item. I've gained a bunch of followers but I never visit.
ReplyDeleteI love bagels also but I'm in the only in the house that can eat gluten and bagels are all about the gluten.
thanks! i just pinned it! i find lots of yummies on pinterest :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of bagels and cream cheese. YUM!
ReplyDeleteWe have a great bagel place in Ocala called Bagelicious. Never made them at home, though, 'cause it's a short ride to the bagel place. My fave is the cranberry bagel.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a tasty treat! Perhaps that woman spoils you?!
ReplyDeleteoh, those look good.
ReplyDeleteThere is always a big debate up here as to whether you prefer Montreal-style bagels which are really chewy or New York-style which are fluffy. I eat them all!
ReplyDeleteHmmmmmmm.
ReplyDeleteI've trie to like bagels. Really tried. But they're so doughy and chewy and hurt my jaw. I'll go with the muffins, please.
ReplyDeleteBagels reminds me of the Detroit area where I would visit from the suburbs to eat the freshly-made hot ones out of the large ovens. Haven't found any to compete with those. But maybe making your own would be equal to them. -- barbara
ReplyDeleteI joined pinterest, showed up a couple of times... and never went back.
ReplyDeleteI haven't had bagels in years.
I am not a fan of raisins but give me chewy Sesame Seed bagel anyday.
ReplyDeleteMr. Bagel on Forest was one of my first favorite spots when I moved to Portland because I worked in that neighborhood. I always enjoyed the original Mr. & Mrs. Bagel...I no longer eat bagels, but I have such nice memories of that little joint...Thanks for sparking that memory...
ReplyDeleteBaby those are beautiful!
