Theme Day: Celebrating Summer

Today, July 1, 2014, is Theme Day across the citydailyphoto(CDP) community. It is a world-wide photo blog that I joined in 2008 and have posted on every day since. I haven't missed a day. I'm pretty proud of that. Today's theme was too easy. If you live in Maine from June to September, you are always 'celebrating summer'. At least, I am. They call it Vacationland on our license plate, but I just call it HOME.
There's got to be a reason.

    So true about Maine in summer. Even the sounds, the air, the gentle breezes say summer.

    You and I have perfect attendance on CDP! I'll bet we both have stories to share (power outages, funerals calling us out of town, technology issues, website host out of service). Here's to hitting our ten year anniversary- at least!

    An inviting summer photo that celebrates the season very well! One of these days, I'll make a visit, but since Minn in summer is such a pleasant change from the winter, it's hard to go elsewhere.

    I am getting nothing done since I have been watching all the World Cup soccer games; do this every four years and love the fact that more US folks are watching and supporting the games. Need to catch up on making comments, tho!

    I've been to Maine a few times and I must say it really is a beautiful place in the summer or the fall. I haven't tried winter so I'll reserve judgment on that season. I love your refreshing photo!

    I do not like summer, it is usually too hot here, but this year it is going just fine and I like your way of celebrating it!

    Those drinks look like they'd be perfect right now (it's warm here, which isn't common). But I'm thinking that a nice craft ale would do the trick for me. Slainte!
