Three Bay
This is a small piece of quite a big dwelling on the Western Prom. At one time, it was a stunning, large home to a single family, a showplace. But these days, it's probably broken up into many apartments. I'm a very good dreamer. Are you? If this was our home, there would be places for our two vehicles, and then in the third bay, I could store my vintage, silver Jag. Oh ya, I don't own it yet, but it might be in my future. You know, if I ever win Megabucks, the Maine State Lottery. Oh ya, just one small problem-- I don't play the lottery. I think I've played it about 5 times in my entire life. Not really much of a gambler in just about anything. Are you a dreamer? What would you store behind the third door?

I fantasize about many things, usually traveling, but never about owning large homes or cars. Great that we are all so different; makes life more interesting.
ReplyDeleteCatching up...too tired to blog while on our drive with our dog which is taking longer than planned! We're almost in Santa Fe...)
c'est le probleme avec la loterie, c'est qu'il faut jouer ;o)) "100% des gagnants ont tentes leur chance" (publicite du loto en France, et tellement vrai)
ReplyDeletePS. You can't win the lottery if you don't buy a ticket!!
ReplyDeletea horse or two... :)
ReplyDeleteI'd turn that last garage into an art studio and then I wouldn't have to clean up after every artistic effort haha!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Grace, I'd turn it into a photo and art studio. The Jaguar would be in the other bay!
ReplyDeleteI would sell the place and get one more to my liking. I do buy lottery tickets occasionally. Once they get up to the truly life changing level (maybe $70 million) I buy five bucks worth. Then I fantasize what I would do with the money. I consider it an investment in stimulating my imagination. Should I buy a place in Paris or Florence or just rent? Hmmmm.
ReplyDeleteMy Christmas decoration museum. And some fabric.
ReplyDeleteGreat question! Maybe I'd put an art studio in there, like PerthDP and Sharon above. Once, I was driven to the airport and when I got out of the car, the driver said, "How'd you like the Jag?" I said, "What Jag?" He said, "This one. You've been riding in one for the past hour." What do I know? It seemed like a . . .a. . . . car. (p.s. It was silver.)
ReplyDeleteI play the Power Ball when it gets huge. A general waste of money, but it's appeal is the fantasy thing, I guess.
ReplyDeleteI would put the customized 1950 Mercury that I would buy with my winnings. Only to be driven on sunny summer days.
ReplyDelete... a couple of mules!
ReplyDeleteI figure I've saved about $14,000 by not playing Florida's lottery.
ReplyDeleteThe legislature some years back "sold" the lottery to the people of Florida by telling us that the profits would be used for education. Hah! The first thing they did was take trips around the world to "promote" trade with Florida! Heh, heh. Then they cut off regular funding for education and used lottery money to replace it and tried to tell us that was a good deal.
Not!
Would love to see you get your Jag!
ReplyDeleteAloha from Waikiki

great image happy holidays
ReplyDeleteI would convert it into a private blogging cave! ha ha.
ReplyDeleteSomeone observed that lotteries are a tax on the stupid. Don't get all worked up over the Jag. It's just a material object. There was a time more than 20 years ago when I had a bottom-of-the-line Porsche for a while. What a dumb idea. Half an inch of snow and I'd need people to push me out of parking spaces.
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted a disco ball somewhere...and since I'm pretty sure it would not fit in the room interior, the third garage looks like a great place to party :D
