Abandoned2

More rural dreams gone bad---
Here's another house that's been vacant for well over twenty-five years. This place looks a lot more worse for wear than yesterday's house. Someone mentioned it in a comment that they wondered what the critter situation might be in these places. I thought of that too. This one looks a little strange too, without a chimney in evidence, but for some reason I don't think Santa's going to be in a quandary on this roof ever again.

  1. That's a long time for a house to be abandoned. Unfortunate.

  2. It's sad to see the house abandoned.Maybe it's all about the economic crisis, but I hope someone can restore the place.

  3. In a newspaper ad this would be called "a starter house."

  4. My mind is ticking. I want to know who built it and where are they now and why this little house has been vacant so long and. .. and. . .

  5. Such a cute little place it seems a shame for it to be all alone.

  6. Oh it's an adorable little cottage with those shingles. I think it would be fun to see inside. A real fixer upper I guess. That junk out back would have to go though!

  8. This fantastic little gem looks like it has shakes (?) on its exterior. I think if a place is reasonable and it's historic that it surely can be restored. -- barbara

  10. I wonder if these places have land that is being used for anything!

  11. Not a fan of siding but it's still a cute house.

  13. Maybe your area is losing population. I am surprised that serviceable places are going unused for decades.
