Backside

Take two aspirin and call me in the morning.
This is the backside of  stately home nearby. Seen from the main drag , it's a beauty. The rear view shows some want for attention. Replacing a clapboard here, trashing those shaky shutters and throwing some white paint across this backside would be Dr. Birdman's prescription for repair, at least at first glance. No major surgery needed a this time, maybe a little touch of TLC might be just what this doctor would order.

  1. Yes! My fingers get itchy. Want to fix it. (Or at least watch while other people do the work.)

  2. This backside looks like it could really be a front side. Really wouldn't take much, as you point out, to give it a fresh look. What does the front look like? -- barbara

  3. Depending on the income of the owners, this looks like "A Brush With Kindness" candidate. Habitat For Humanity will paint and do repairs on existing houses needing some TLC.

  7. Along the lines of what TexWisGIrl said, I look better seen from the main drag myself. Windows and shutters could use a little work but structurally sound

  9. From a lifetime of careful observation, I can confirm that the rear view often shows some want for attention.

  10. Well, it could use a couple of steps off that back door, too. I bet the insurance company hasn't visited lately.

  11. I'm always more interested in the back sides of buildings rather than front. Don't know why.

  13. Yup, you can tell no one spends much time out back, that's a long way down out of the front door :)
