Spring Branches

I love trees like this. They have a good look. Don't get me wrong. My favorite season is still  summer, even though, I do believe, around here it is the shortest. When I'm driving the blue highways on the outskirts of the city, I'm always on the lookout for trees sitting majestically like this one. I just feel good stumbling on these wonders.
You're right. It doesn't take much to get me get my attention.
And, by the way, I don't hug 'em, but I like 'em... a lot!

  5. That is indeed a fine looking tree with considerable history. Just think how the world looks to this tree.

  6. i love them in any season, but like you, winter branches against the sky are just gorgeous - my blog pal refers to them as 'trees writing on the sky'. :)

  7. As a tree nut I only have one complain, that you cut off some of the tree branches!

  8. I like trees too. They have a long and patient life, say no word but know a lot..I always imagine them as the trees in the Lord of the rings, like old wise creatures..

  13. I'm glad to see trees like this, but mainly because it tells me that a tree will leaf out in the spring and show its beauty in the summer and fall. The winter skeletons themselves don't give me great feelings.

  15. If you want to know where someone lives, just ask their favorite season. We dread summer.

  16. Ditto. I've been stopped in my tracks several times this week by trees like this, knowing that they will change so soon. Love 'em like they are, love 'em as they change, too.
