The sky was angry that day, my friend.
It's been a strange week. Thunderbumpers have been the course for the week. Lots of thunder, lightening and sunshine throughout the mornings and afternoons. Elenka leaves for week, and this is what I'm dealt? This weather and the 'ta do list' on the fridge have been keeping me company the last few days. Well, sort of... But really, the first thing I did after getting back from the jetport was to take list off the fridge and put it in a drawer. Outta sight outta mind. I'll replace it next week before I pick her up. That list is just too much of a guilt trip to handle.
I'm just happy she doesn't read this blog.
What's that old standard by Billie Holiday?
"Don't know why there's no sun up in the sky/Stormy weather..."
In more ways then one.
Maybe.
Perhaps the stormy weather will increase in a week's time after Elenka returns to view your work. Better peek at that list once in awhile so you can check off a few "ta do" items.
ReplyDeleteLooks a lot like Florida in the summer...we get thunder boomers rolling in off the Gulf of Mexico which aren't bad 'cause we need the rain but sometimes they include tornadoes and that's not fun!
ReplyDeleteYou're so funny.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, I have the list in my head. I will text it to you. :-)
i've got a to do list that is not any fun so i keep putting it off! that bear story was scary! yikes!!
ReplyDeletenice sky shot, greeting from Belgium
ReplyDeleteToo funny...A list in Elenka's head can't be put into a drawer! We've had the same weather, storms moving through..Their bark is worse than their bite...
ReplyDelete#8, pond side, between the pond & Hinckley Rd....It's a wee small table for my wee small works, no fancy tent. Don't blink as you walk by or you'll miss me. The weather's supposed to be gorgeous...Looking forward to it...
Love the thunder and lightening. Perfect time to bake something and read a book.
ReplyDeletelaughing at elenka's retort. :)
ReplyDeleteWe've had the same weather here in Toronto. So far I have been able to put off 2 painting jobs that need to be done before winter.
ReplyDeleteSame here. Dark sky, downpour, sun, dark sky, downpour sun...
ReplyDeleteI'm laughing at Elenka's reply, too. In my experience there's no escaping the HoneyDo list. Sorry (kinda). ;- ]
ReplyDeleteIt does look ominous!
ReplyDeleteThe sky made for a beautiful shot.
ReplyDeleteGood for you. Reject the dictatorship of work. It might be in your interest, though, to have something accomplished before she returns.
ReplyDeletehaha Of *course* Elenka reads your blog. And yep, we've had those crazy stormy clouds and thunder and lightning and rain . . . xx
ReplyDeleteWe are in the sun phase of the cycle, and it's getting hot...
