This day breaks blue, sunny and bright.

Let's just remember...

  2. A note about birdman's family...This was a special day in our family, in particular, our dad, a WWII veteran and a past chief of the Harold T. Andrews Post. We never missed the Memorial Day parade in downtown Portland when we were kids. In later years he marched proudly with the rest of his war buddies.
Now again, from heaven's perspective, they proudly smile and watch.

  7. What a wonderfully original take on a familiar scene. It looks as if the flag and the pole are tentatively touching.

  8. Thanks, Mr Bird. I have already called my parents today to tell my dad how much I love him and how thankful I am that he came home from the war. This is a beautiful photo and perspective.
