At Seaside Heights, NJ mid-week, it was free swimming, lifeguards on duty, no serious riptides and fireworks to end the day at 9 PM. Now, Maine beaches are still free all the time, and OOB has fireworks each Thursday, I believe. Free beaches in Maine-- 'The way life should be'.
how wonderful to spend the summer on beaches like the one pictured, is the dream of most people
ReplyDeleteI love the colours in this picture, so beautiful Summer scenery, it reminds me "my Brazil"that I've missed so much!

Yes to free beaches, free oceans, free skies.
ReplyDeleteAh, but that beautiful young girl on the free beach looks rather cross about having her photo taken. Perhaps she wanted a model's fee...
ReplyDeleteFree beaches are the dream of the ones who live near the sea and don't like to see them full of tourists; I'm waiting for september, to enjoy "my" beaches again! :)
ReplyDeleteand (not like Brattcat), my eyes are not attracted by the girl , but by the tall guy on the right..
I'm glad that you know Rimbaud and love him!
Free beaches here too. Even the state parks are free to visit. we spend a lot of time at several different beaches all year around.
ReplyDeleteWe are lucky to live on the coast I guess. MB
Nice composition, color and late afternoon light. I used to go to the Jersey shore once in a while when my family lived in the NJ suburbs of NYC.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy you got free beaches there, here is always more difficult to find a free one.
ReplyDeleteFree, and no tar balls. What's not to like?
ReplyDeleteLove the colors in the picture and a big YES to free beaches.
ReplyDeleteAs someone who spent the summers of their youth in Maine, I have always said that if it wasn't for the winters I would move to Maine in a heartbeat.
ReplyDeleteOf course it were not for the winters Maine would be overcrowded and so unlike the Maine I loved.
You could "sell" this place.... using this photo and your text!:)
