... for Birdman's Top 25-
#5 Play Music Loud!
Music flows from my room every morning, usually starting about 6:45 AM. I do believe, some days, my doors vibrate! Variety is truly the 'spice of life'. The following shows this adage. My playlist for TODAY is dotted with, in no particular order, The Kinks, The Who, The Beatles, The Moody Blues, The Byrds, Stevie Ray Vaugh, The Stones, The Boss, Southside Johnny and the Jukes, Dwight Yoakam, Van Morrison, Dropkick Murphys, The Eagles, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, The Dead, Jimmy Cliff, Buckwheat Zydeco, Classical, any kind of Jazz, The Killers, Jack White, Radiohead, Rosanne Cash, Queen, The Talking Heads, Dire Straits, Lucinda Williams, BB King, Beck, Brad Paisley, British Invasion music, Bob Marley, Backwheat Zydeco, Celtic music, Dusty Springfield, Dean Martin, Elvis Costello, Emmylou Harris, Frank Zappa, The Four Seasons, The Bee Gees, James Brown, Jimmy Buffit, Journey, Lyle Lovett, Miles Davis, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Four Tops, Neil Young, Patsy Cline, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Steely Dan, Steve Miller Band, The Beach Boys, The Corrs, The Cranberries, The Pretenders, The Saw Doctors, U2, Warren Zevon and more. Tomorrow's another day... my playlist is subject to change.
Take a breath, Birdman.
As you can see, my taste is all over the place.
And yes, your favorite band is on my List... somewhere.
Now, the revelation... I'm a 'closet' ABBA, MJ and Cher fanatic!
You didn't think I was going to reveal THAT, yet.
Did you?
My taste in music is probably as eclectic as yours, but I never bother finding out the titles or the names of the artists. I'm bad that way. Oh, but no music while I'm working!
ReplyDeleteI love mossy old stones.
Everyone loves ABBA, they had a unique talent for writing pop tunes. I always try to listen to new music. Met a guitarist yesterday. Will post about him later in the week, but I'm pretty sure you will not like his music!
ReplyDeleteSeems all cultures need a foundation of music.
ReplyDeleteeclectic but good!
ReplyDeleteSeeing Miles Davis , Dean Martin and ABBA is enough for me to consider you as a good guy !
ReplyDeleteMy kind of music list, ROCK ON Birdman!
ReplyDeleteSounds a lot like my playlist. They don't call me the dancing queen for nothing!
ReplyDeleteThere's quite a lot on that list I'd go for, particularly U2!
ReplyDeleteI could handle that play list! I particularly like loud music in the car.
ReplyDeleteI do know people, otherwise sane and intelligent, even brilliant people, who like ABBA. We talk about something else.
ReplyDeleteI would add Three Dog Night, Vanilla Fudge, The Young Rascals, Chicago and the Grateful Dead and Sam and Dave. I would NOT remove anything from your list.
