#17 Long Friendships
I have a couple of long relationships from youth. Peter, Paul and Mark. They call us the three apostles. My friends from way back are few. You can really count them on two fingers. Some of my fondest memories surround Peter's mom buying us sixpacks. She'd tell the clerk her son was home from Vietnam. He musta come home every weekend. Heading off to all night fiascos at Serenity Hill Dance Hall, with these two pals, was just about a weekly ritual. I met Paul in Confraternity classes when we hit 7th Grade (7th Grade lasts a long time), and we continued our high school sojourn together with the Jesuits. In some shape or form, this trinity have been sidekicks ever since. And what can I say... could we have selected a better 'sondtrack' than the GREAT 60's hits? I think not.

ReplyDeleteI'm still going over these posts like a cryptic crossword puzzle!
Good hint today.
Delete"Good hint" only if you know where it's leading, Birdman...
ReplyDeleteIf you are still friends, that is quite a feat in life.
