I'm not one to follow the daily theme suggestions. You know mural Mondays, tacky Tuesday (I think I just made that one up), wacky Wednesdays (that one too), thoughtless Thursdays, skywatch Fridays and on and on through the weekend. However, this past Saturday the sky did take on a funky design. The clouds formed about six, rather distinct, streaks across the spring sky. I thought nothing of it until I heard a crazy lady, call in on a sports talk show no less, attempting to put the fear of God in the host, cautioning him about recent phenomenons seen skyward and what they foretold. I must state at this point, that the host has quite a few, in my book, unnatural fears that seem to rear their heads from time to time in discussions with callers. I'm quite sure he is a card carrying member of the mysophobia club.
Is that why Howie Mandel shaves his head?
But even the talk show host was holding back laughter (ok, he wasn't holding back his chuckling) listening to this gal rant along.
Me?
I have better things to occupy my time then having unnatural fears and worrying about germs, dry paper, horses, butterflies, looking in mirrors, thunder, people touching me, flapping bird wings and strange formations in the heavens.
* btw all types of fears.
How about you?
(Ok, I don't fear them, but I ain't picking up any frogs today!)
Besides, I've got to clean my truck.
... and finish getting all my birdhouses up and open for business.
Hopefully, a busy, warm cloudless day too.
ha, tacky tuesday, wacky wednesday, i like that ;) neat stripes!
ReplyDeleteWell, the sky does look a tad strange. Maybe that talk show caller had a point. ;))
ReplyDeleteAt what point does a revolt become a revolution? ;-)
ReplyDeleteI foretell strange happenings from the looks of that there sky.. high winds for sure :) As for fears there's flying, heights, small spaces, deep water.. just to mention a few :) :)

ReplyDeleteNow I'm chuckling. Great story about the lady on the radio. No phobias here. I walk under ladders, let black cats cross my path, and step on the cracks in the sidewalk. I even pick up pennies when they are tail side up. As for germs, I tend to think we've gone a little too far with our obsession over germs. However, I have been known to knock on wood every now and then.
ReplyDeletememe-following or not, love this shot. :)
ReplyDeleteThere's a neighborhood cat (jet black) who's always crossing my path. What's that mean? :-)
ReplyDeleteI hold to the theory that people who tend to call into talk radio shows in the first place are inherently crackers to begin with.
ReplyDeleteOkay, when will we see shots of your birdhouses? Perhaps you could start your own meme on that very topic: homes, residences, hovels, and places of the birds. Or It's just for the birds. Like it?!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a full blown case of coulrophobia, but clowns do bother me.
ReplyDeleteI often wonder what cave people would have thought of a sky like that. I don't like heights, elevators, long tunnels, etc! I'd pick up a frog any day though. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe older I get, the more I fear people.
ReplyDeleteInteresting cloud formations, but I certainly wouldn't think the devil was stirring up the universe because of them. I do like the daily memes- it's what I love most about blogging- connecting to other bloggers. I guess my fears are mostly tangible...tornadoes, severe storms, wasps, snakes..frogs are pretty cool though I wouldn't pick one up.
ReplyDeleteGreat sky shot. Here in Texas, during tornado season the sky can be very scary!!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice evening.

Those are pretty clouds. Nothing to fear there!
ReplyDeleteYeah. I worry about the germs I may pick up on weird blogs, especially on thoughtless Thursdays. Can't be too careful. I disinfect my keyboard if I come across an especially spooky photo, like one of, you know, weird clouds and such. I think it's time to go put on disposable gloves. ;-)
ReplyDeleteVery nice and harmless clouds.
ReplyDeleteI don't worry about too much, especially the weather.
ReplyDeleteThat is quite a nice sky photo.
ReplyDeleteNot that I am perfect at doing this, but in general I don't worry about things I have no ability to affect.
