Morning on Deck

It's a Sunday AM on the deck. A cup of coffee, a good book and plenty of sun has been a pretty good combination this summer. Better enjoy today; I hear showers moving in the first of the week. We're off to the final show at the Maine State Music Theater: SPAMALOT! I must say, I've been looking ahead to this show all summer. Love Monty Python's Flying Circus!

  1. Greata composition that supports your chosen activity quite well. The bright spot of red enlivens the scene.

  6. I love the red spots on your picture, and the small details: the flowers in the bottle, the cup, the glasses on the book...
and, OMG, you really have seen Spamelot?!!

  7. The big flower pot contains my tribute to Simon and Garfunkel...parsely, sage, rosemary and thyme.

  8. What a great idea! All you need is a nice mimosa to kick it all off.

  10. Sounds like a perfect morning! I won't tell anyone that you will be having a little tobacco when the weather gets cooler. The store I featured today in Harvard Square would be a perfect place to pick up some tabacky. I bet the mrs. won't be too happy about this.

  13. Well, that's a scene I won't enjoy in our Suburban condominium, but I grew up in an apartment in NYC so I'm happy to pass on the lawn care. My children and I are Monty Python cult members but we were disappointed by the production of Spamalot that passed through here. Eric Idle has no new ideas. He's just squeezing all the old stuff for every pound, euro and dollar he can wring out of it.

  15. Your deck is very inviting. The greenery and the orange pillow on white cushions is very handsome. We had a cool(er) front come through this morning. It was nice enough to have breakfast on our deck and chat over coffee until the rain passed over and drove us into the house. It was much cooler today. The high this afternoon was 94F. After 18 straight days of 100+ it felt good.
