Watering Can

Up in our garden, the watering can waits for the next afternoon shower to continue filling. The combination of a new higher fence that we put in in May, my havahart trap and perhaps the BEST summer weather ever has produced a lush, bountiful crop. The corn, squash, pumpkin, beans, cucumbers(my favorite), peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, basil and sunflowers are all doing fine. After the pitiful harvest of last summer, we all needed this. 1. Lucky for you. My garden is scorched. Too many days of 100+ temperatures.

  2. What a classic watering can! The variety of your crops sound delicious. That's one thing I miss about living in Florida -- no garden.

  3. What a little farm you have going there. Your favorite is Mr. Brattcat's least favorite...unless I turn them into pickles first.

  4. I support them about 3 times a week. One of the true pleasures of summer in the north.

  5. Oh yummy--the summer harvest.
I belong to a CSA here --Klesick Family Farm, an organic farm in Stanwood. I get a lovely box filled with goodies once a week. And they even deliver.
