Terrific reflections of the trees. That thin layer of ice looks so fragile. You'll have to show us a photo of the same area in a few weeks. Stay warm -- toss some of that wood you chopped in the fireplace. 12 degrees in early December is way too cold.
The pond that I live by, and it has a thin layer of ice, and my lovely little dog, thought it would be fun to go throw himself across the ice....for I believe he thought it was still water (He loves getting wet) and he through himself across! Thankfully an only 4 and a half pound dog...he didn't fall through!! No, Yo-Yo bad dog!!
I love this picture, It remind me of my camp when it gets to like 2 degrees in the late fall! One of my favorite places in the world. Thank you for reminding me of that! Good job Birdman. Keep taking those AMAZING PICTURES!!!!!!!!!
Nice photo! It feels like I should go get the skis and ice skates out. I'm going to go home, warm up some hot chocolate and snuggling with my dog next to a warm fire! I love it! <3
It is so pretty! Actually, one time I was sledding at a friends house, and I ended up going so far I ended up on the pond!!!! Good thing the ice was thick!:P
It reminds me off my lake when it first froze when I went on and fell through then my dog came and fell through to then i stood up and i picked my dog up and he was still trying to swim in the air my dad fell through to hahaha
I love the beautiful patterns as the ice spreads... great shot. Stay bundled and warm!
