1/2 Off

Lots of times signage is very confusing. At my lemonade stand back on Stevens Avenue, I was simple-- Lemonade... 5¢. Not confusing at all. What's the deal with 1/2 Off on this plywood though? 1/2 off of what? Potatoes? Squash? I'm not great in math, although I have been compared to Einstein when it comes to looks, ( Hey, am I giving away too much there?), but even I know that 1/2 Off of Free ain't much. And kittens? You know I have a weakness in this area.

 Even my sense of humor seems a bit off today. Strugglin' with a cold all weekend. Taking off today.

    Sorry your "under the weather"( one of those sayings I need
    to investigate) Do things like that make you wonder??
    Stay under the covers..someone on Facebook just said that it is spitting snow...hmmm I wonder who is doing the spitting???

    Thank you for the chuckle this morning. Fine sign. Feel free to try all the cold remedies, chicken soup, bourbon, sleep, etc, but it will still take a week or more before you feel better. Just got over one myself and decongestants helped, but didn't make the cold go away.

    Great find but all kinds of perplexities here. In the chain of life seems odd that vegetables would cost more than cats.

    Free kittens. It is always a problem or used to be around here if you lived on a farm. People who drop stray cats off at the end of your lane and they would come up to the barn looking for a place to stay and perhaps a free meal. I suppose the 1/2 off is a good deal for squash and potatoes.

    I love these home made signs. They are works of art. Someone published a book of them. Can't remember who.
    Get well soon. Plenty of whiskey and honey should help, or at least take your mind of it. You need plenty though.
