I was at the Portland Club with Elenka and our families. Now, I know where Judith, Anthony, Marchin, Joanne, Connie, Irv, Joe, Candy, Vera, Lisa, Anna Marie, Patty, Peter, Tom, Charlie, Judy, John, Irene, David, Jennifer, Susan, Lisa, Ron, Joy, Peter, Gina, Steve, our parents, grandparents and many, many other friends and family were. It was a long-awaited, memorable evening. The next morning we were off to Bermuda and the rest of our life together.
But where were you?
What a sweet drawing! A memorable evening indeed! Happy, happy Annversary. Where was I? Taking care of a 7 and 5 year old, getting ready to embark on a very satisfying teaching career. Yes, very memorable times but yours is truly a milestone. Going to Bermuda again??

Here's a neat update: I won a Portland Trail Blazers' autographed basketball from my friend the Portland Trail Blazers' official DJ--O.G. One--as a result of my having donated to his Team OG 2015 team for the local Autism Walk! I'm in shock because I had no idea such a thing was a possibility! Lamont and Leland don't know it yet--they are bouldering up in Leavenworth, Washington, camping out--but they will be picking it up from DJ O.G. One before the game begins here on Saturday night. Wowsers!

ReplyDeleteApril 19, 1975 was a Saturday (I looked it up), two days before the running of the Boston Marathon. So, on the 21st, the answer would have been I was watching the Boston Marathon, which went down Commonwealth Avenue just down the street from the house we bought (near Boston College) the previous November. On Saturday, though, I was likely either at the office grinding away trying to make an impression as a young lawyer, or I was working on the house.
