Well, I had to go searching for it, but I found it. The last remnants of our winter shrouded away among the trees. Good riddance!
Thank you Elenka for your Mr. Man, as in snow.
With apologies to Harold Arlen (1905-1986) composer of all the songs in The Wizard of Oz (1939 film), I'll just end with this today. A slightly abridged version of this classic: "Ding Dong! The Witch's Dead".
"Ding Dong! The Winter's Dead.
Which old Winter?
The Wicked Winter!
Wake up- sleepy head, rub your eyes,
get out of bed.
Wake up, the Wicked Winter's Dead..."
Are you singing along?
I can't hear you.
Well done, Elenka! And I'm glad you had to search for those last remnants. Sounds like spring may be springing in Maine...finally.
ReplyDeleteYou could also sing the Frozen Disney movie's song "Let it go " ! :o)
ReplyDeleteaw i don't think this little dude is happy about that!
ReplyDeleteI didn't even realize I was singing along until you mentioned it!
ReplyDeleteAdios! Good riddance is absolutely correct, but I don't think that this cute little thing is very menacing!
ReplyDeleteWhat little snow we had disappeared months ago. I would gladly see any kind of moisture fall, even snow. We've had less than 1/2 an inch of moisture since January first. And now that song will be going through my head all day.
ReplyDeleteI hope for you this is the last of winter!
ReplyDeleteFor you the Winter's dead, for us (to quote the Starks) Winter is coming. I wish our winter included cute little snowmen like this...
ReplyDeleteI hope winter is really gone. :)
ReplyDeleteThat song will be stuck in my head the rest of the day!! That certainly is the cutest little tiny snowman I've ever seen.
ReplyDeleteJust watch, Birdman: you'll get a winter storm with a couple of feet of snow over the weekend just for assuming the winter's over.
ReplyDeleteI heard on the radio that we may get snow flurries during the night tonight!!~!
ReplyDeleteAwww... he's a cute little guy. But it is nice to say good-bye to winter!
ReplyDeleteI'd say he's losing a little weight, but other than that he looks good.
ReplyDeletetoo cute!! farewell little guy!
ReplyDeleteCute!
ReplyDeleteI hope it is gone for good!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you could hear me if we Skype.
ReplyDeleteRemember, other than the original subject of the song, this scary figure will be back in a few months.
Handsome fellow.
ReplyDeleteBelieve me you don't want to hear me singing Birdman :)
