Glad that you are seeing some signs of spring, even in the form of "brown grass." I have enjoyed your snow shots and you will be able to taunt me in the oppressive heat of August when you have your cool evenings and we just pant like lizards!
ReplyDeleteThinking of you on your mom's birthday and glad that you have many happy memories...
Big hug,
Genie
Beautiful words about your mommy. You are so right, we need to appreciate the simple things in life, these moments with our beloved ones, so precious moments in our life!

Everything that I've ever heard about your mom is positive and upbeat; I wish that I had known her.
ReplyDeleteShe certainly raised a wonderful family!
Miss you, too, 'mom'..........
ReplyDeleteOh, I know that ache so well...so many of us do. We toast your wonderful mom and wish her a happy birthday and wish you the love and support of your family around you.
ReplyDeleteFrom there on the bench out over the ocean of eternity.
ReplyDeleteSniff, sniff. And inviting photo . . .
ReplyDeleteI never know how the weather will be on my birthday, which was yesterday. We have been so warm for the past couple of weeks and now our temps are dipping back down to the thirties tonight. Hopefully that will be the last of it!
ReplyDeleteI am not ready to imagine life without my Mum yet. Hope your signs of spring come soon. Greenery has a way of lifting the mood! :)
ReplyDeleteThis post has made me teary - very touching! I always hope that winter ends on Mar 1 but not this year.
ReplyDeleteHey, March is pretty bleak here in the middle, too. It's the month with our highest average snowfall, usual heavy, wet stuff. Remember what a certain St. Louis-born poet said: April is the cruelest month / pushing up daisys out of the snow.
ReplyDeleteUm, where was the uplifting image? I hope your memories of your mother today are warm and that some of them are funny. You could use a good belly laugh right about now.
ReplyDeleteScoot over.
