A fading sun brings the afternoon to a close. This time of year, regardless of your state, a warm spot under a blue sky is always welcoming. Now, in this photo, the good thing is, if it gets too 'warm' here, the fire hydrant will come to your rescue. This reminds me of those days where we always seem to be putting small blazes out. No matter how we spend our day, there always seem to be those days that come along every once in a while, where there are always obstacles to our peace of mind. Hope your today is fire free.
perdu dans la nature, beau contrasme des couleurs
ReplyDeleteI like those grasses - very pretty. The fittings on the hydrant look a bit rusty so it might be difficult to attach a hose to it in case of fire.
ReplyDeleteThe hydrant is almost hidden, a bit of a second looker... but the grass is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThe light on the wheatie stuff is gorgeous. It looks golden. Funny about the hydrant, I was reminded recently by a post that most hydrants these days are yellow. It's nice to see a red one!
ReplyDeleteYes, the sun is always welcomed during our winter season! But, there never seems to be enough sunshine.
ReplyDeletePatriotic fire plug in a spot containing "amber waves of grain". Nice shot.
ReplyDeleteI really like this photo. It makes me smile.
ReplyDeleteI am going to play Jack Nicklaus' Muirfield course with friends today. Even though I will see parts of the rough most people never see, it will be a wonderful day. Glad you enjoyed your trip to ND.
ReplyDeletei do like how you said that - obstacles to our peace of mind... :)
ReplyDeleteNice natural light on that grass!
ReplyDeleteLove autumn's late afternoon light - took pics of it yesterday. And as for putting out the fires, oh yeah, there are days like that . . .
ReplyDeleteGosh the light in this image is so pretty Birdman, very nice looking through the grasses to the people strolling about. Is that the campus at Notre Dame?
ReplyDeleteGreat fall shot Birdman!
ReplyDeleteThe golden autumn grasses and cattails and cornstalks, etc., seem to be getting to me more and more the last few years. As if the trees weren't enough!
ReplyDeleteYes, that hydrant is along the walkways at ND.
ReplyDeleteGreat color contrast here and I love the worn spots on the hydrant.
ReplyDeleteLove the light and putting that hydrant in the pic was a stroke of genius. But as re fire: I've been en fuego all day! Amazing. Like I was young again.
ReplyDeleteI love the bright hydrant with the natural grasses.
ReplyDeleteGood one Bird!

I love the primary colors in this image. The fantastic lighting makes this really pop.
ReplyDeleteYou know what? And I mean this in the best way. I can see this particular photo on the cover of a jigsaw puzzle box. It's magnificent!
