Frozen Apple

Happy One Year Anniversary to me!
On December 31, 2008, I started posting a photo a day with a bit o' me thrown in for good measure. I had always wanted to do something with my photos... some sort of project that involved a daily taking of a picture. The CityDailyPhotoBlog fit the bill. Looking back over the days, it is very much like a diary in nature. I must admit there were a few days that were laborious, but finding the images and the stories were fun. Thank you to all who have stopped by to take a look. Now, about today's photo-- believe it or not there are still about 50 or so golden delicious(?) still on the tree out back, but they have changed from yellow two weeks ago to a brown-orange now. Oh, and they are frozen solid. The deer, that make there way through the woods each afternoon to the tree, have no complaints.

  1. Amazing that these apples hadn't fallen earlier. I wasn't sure at first, I wanted a CDP blog to be somewhat like a diary and I avoided that at first although I've noticed that when I mention something personal, my reaction to something, who I met, whatever, readers do like it. A good point.

    Happy New Year, Birdman!

  3. Jilly- When I'm posting and writing I'm not thinking diary or anything close, but on looking back over the images and dates, Bang! There's the past year and I can almost replay my day, in some fashion. Kinda strange to me. It wasn't meant to be like that, but look how the 'cards fall on the table'. The way of the world?

  4. My sweet Birdman, congratulations!!! I know that J and I have throughly enjoyed checking in on your blog, as have many family and friends. Having known you for almost 38 years, I have heard many of your stories, but believe it or not, there were some new accounts and adventures to enjoy.
All we gotta say is, don't stop now!

  18. Ooo missed this amongst all the celebrations yesterday, what with our disjointed timezones.

All the very best Birdman. May I say how much I admire the DoF you achieved with your frozen apples. A very low f-stop if I am right.
