I like walking back alleyways. You never know what you might stumble upon. Sometimes it turns out dark and dingy and at other times maybe a Xanadu. I like stories I read where someone with very little, practically nothing, ends up with it all, through no fault of their own. Well, this scene pictured today ain't Xanadu, but there are days where even I enjoy a good fairy tale. Beware, you never know who might be walking through that door and into your life.
Boy, I just want to grab my scraper and get to work on those doors, I can't help it.
ReplyDeleteWe have alleys like this in my small town. Something about them draws me in! I have to say I wouldn't scrape that door. Too much history in that paint!
ReplyDeletea great way to look at things. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree, it's no paradise. But there certainly is a lot to look at here!
ReplyDeleteSo true. What a great shot.
ReplyDeleteLaneways/alleys are one of my favourite exploring places. As you say, you never know what you may find.
ReplyDeleteI had that experience once. Trouble is the guy who came into my life knocked me on the head and asked me what the hell I was doing in a dark alley and then took all my money and ran.
ReplyDeleteNah, I'm just kidding. But hey, it could have happened. Especially in this case. I mean, look at those doors!
After editing the first word, I really like the last sentence! I think something new and different would be wonderful!
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of alleys, Charleston has many of them and they are all terrifically interesting.
Alleys can offer up bad or good experiences. As a woman, alleys can be frightening if one is alone. For me it would work best if I had my 100 pound male dog with me.
