Today, April 1, 2012 is Theme Day across the CDP(citydailyphoto) community. When you think cobblestones in this city you think Wharf Street. Along with cobblestones, you better think feet, because most hours it's open only to foot traffic. So don't be a 'fool' and do something foolish with a car. I can hear Dusty Springfield's version of Walk On By echoing in the back of my head right now.

ReplyDeleteI noticed all three pedestrians are wearing flats -- wise choice. The guy strolling around with the saggy jeans seems a bit foolish. But, who am I to critique fashion?!

ReplyDeleteI'm curious as to how long this cobblestone has been in existence. Your town folks must like to preserve a bit of town history or else some developer would have torn up the street long ago. -- barbara

ReplyDeleteCobblestones were meant for pedestrians, horses and carriages. A stroll is a perfect setting.
