Pen

Write what you know. This is an adage I like to follow. It wasn't always that way. Those of you who follow this site recall that my early writing years were filled with much second guessing and a few tears thrown in for good measure. My youth was filled with me, the introvert, attempting to negotiate those teen years. Where and how I became this extroverted being often has me perplexed. I've tried to trace it back to some event or meeting of minds, but I can't for the life of me figure out what happened. I do believe, if I ever discover the place, the moment, the event, I'll also unearth the metamorphosis from reluctant writer to someone who writes each day... because I want to. For me, that's a BIG change.

  1. I think that I would like this shop! Writing is an interesting activity; some people are more talented than others, but I believe that all us can learn how to write well. Some of us just like and are fascinated by the use of language, which I suspect is more common than we acknowledge. In any event, writing is a great form of personal expression, and you, dear Birdman, do it so well!

  10. That's a very nice sign though I fail to completely understand the meaning (being French and all that).

I try to write in a little book every day but I'm still shy...
