Oaks' Trees

Not Fair!
More snow!
Ok, it's just a dusting, here in Deering Oaks but still.
High today of 35°F.
Oviedo, Florida 87° yesterday.
Could we at least just split the difference? The city is having a St. Patrick's Day parade today. Ah, if only that little, red mercury line could just nudge 50. Is that too much to ask? I thought so. I'll be quiet now.
This dusting after a mid-week of tantalizing temperatures reaching the low 50s. Our piles of snow spent the week actually shrinking a bit.
Now this?
Life is not fair, and this is a perfect example of it.
Sheeesh.
I'm whining.
Sorry.
I'm shutting up now.
One last thing- Elenka bought home a bouquet of daffodils yesterday.
Trying to change the karma here, I guess.

But... is it really too much to ask?
Ok, bad Birdman.

  3. We are forecasted to have temps of mid 40's to nearly 70 degree weather here in the Dayton, OH area which means it can't be too far away for you. Chin up.

  4. Really, really, not fair! You've paid your dues!

(feeling a little guilty to have only shown the side building of a church today).

  7. At least a lot of the dirty snow got a little whitewash...still, snow, do not come during a St. Patrick's Day parade! I remember other St. P days, in Portland, Portsmouth & Boston where the sun was shining and spring had started to arrive...So, yes, whine, it's healthier than keeping it in! (and perhaps some green beer would help...)

  9. It's sunny here and 3˚C but it is windy so our St Patrick's Day parade will be a bit cool. I think it starts in 1 minute so I guess I am missing it!

  11. I do feel bad for you. You've had your share of white stuff this year. I had to turn from heat to air conditioning this weekend. I'm not happy about that. It's way to early to turn on the air.

  12. Great picture, bad weather!

  13. Fresh snow greeted me when I woke up this morning. Look at it this way: in July when it's boiling you'll be missing the winter.

  14. I hate to gloat but we're sitting on 65 right now at 3 p.m. However, the clouds are still here and there's another chance of rain on four days of this week!

  15. Perhaps a winter residency somewhere in the future? See you in April! Till then, chin up.

Lakeland Checks in at a balmy 84!

  16. Luckily we missed added snow in Nashua, NH this weekend but we did have some vigorous flurry activity this afternoon and a lot of rain on Saturday.

  17. Can't say I would trade you weather, but we need the moisture. March is our major snow month, but we've only gotten an inch or so. Today it was 77 degrees and sunny.

  18. It's just a dusting! Could be worse!

  19. Hey, all of this is somewhere between relative and random. 75 here on Sunday, close to 80 tomorrow. But it won't last.

  20. No, it's not too much to ask. You've had entirely too much of the white stuff and the temperatures to go with it. You'd think that by St. Paddy's day you'd be able to defrost with more than a good shot of Irish whisky.
If it's any consolation, we've had 2 inches of rain in the last 14 hours and our house is beginning to need a moat around it.

  21. It was a bit cool and gray here over the weekend, but nothing like this. Hope the snow ends soon!
